2018-2019 Booster Club Committees

North Kansas City Lady Hornets Free Throw Club takes on a wide variety of activities in support of the program. Each committee works with the the direction of the Booster Club Board and participation by all parents on one or more of the committees is appreciated and is the key to attaining the booster club's fundraising goals.  We know we can count on you, our player's parents, to make this season a success on and off the court!

What is the Booster Club?

​

The booster club is a group of team parents, who work together to support all levels of the NKC Girls Basketball program.  We support fundraising, special nights, and many other projects that improve our players’ basketball team experience.

Examples of our contributions to the program include:

• Coordinating/Managing/Staffing the concession stand during home JV/Varsity games

• Coordinating and sponsoring special nights, such as Senior Night, Teacher Appreciation night and the Kickoff Event.

• Coordinating team dinners and end of season banquet

• Working with local businesses on sponsorship program

• Coordinating team pictures/ JV Varsity Banner/Sr. player posters

• Support our players volunteer time and encouraging Team Building

• Supporting any special needs of the coaching staff/overall program needs

Volunteers Needed!!!

We are looking for volunteers for numerous positions and duties, the more people that can help the better!  We are especially hoping that parents of players are willing to actively participate in our activities this year.  Any parent should see Amber Washington for additional information.

Join The Booster Club!

ANYONE who loves NKC Girls Basketball can join! Parents, family members, friends, alumni, school faculty/staff and local businesses. Our combined mission is to support NKC Girls basketball student athletes by providing financial support and getting personally involved in the activities sponsored by the Club. 100% of your membership contribution goes directly to the Girls Basketball program.

The Free Throw Club

• Recognizes and supports our students-athletes as leaders in both the school and in the community;

• Helps coaches and teams with special expenditures above and beyond the regular district budgeted items.

• Designates liaisons for individual athletic teams to facilitate communication between coaches, parents, and athletes;

• Plans and host special events;

• Promotes school spirt

Our goal for the 2019-2020 school year is to reach 100% participation in The Free Throw Club by the families of the student-athletes, 30 school faculty/staff 5 local businesses and at least 5 alumni. Every student-athlete at NKC deserves to be represented by a parent or family membership in this important organization. Please take a few minutes to complete and mail in the form to our membership director.
